Neville was indeed necessary for Voldemort to die, and Harry was "dead" already when Neville intervened. However, I did not predict Harry cheaping his way out of being dead himself, nor JKR cheaping her way out of killing the dark lord by having his own curse kill him again. I was one off, I said both dead at the end, but only one truly died. Same question, was this the ending you expected? Profile Quote
